Chaplaincy - Adults

The Manchester College has a multifaith chaplaincy as part of our student support team.

What is a chaplain?

Chaplains are here to help anyone who has questions about life. You don’t need to be religious to ask for our help. The chaplaincy is multifaith, meaning we can support you whatever your beliefs – even if you have none at all. We’re here to listen.

The chaplains work across all The Manchester College’s sites. You can contact us through reception, your tutor, or the college switchboard.

Where can I pray or meditate?

There are chaplaincy rooms at the main college sites. You can use these rooms for prayer, meditation or simply for quiet time. Please ask at reception for directions.

How can the chaplaincy help me?

The chaplains are here to help students of any faith or no faith. We offer:

  • chaplaincy rooms
  • information displays about religious festivals and world issues
  • events where you can meet other students
  • someone to talk to in confidence about your problems or concerns
  • advice on where to get help inside and outside college
  • contact with religious groups in Greater Manchester and beyond
  • resources, such as religious artefacts, that you may be able to use in your college work
