How can I find somewhere to live?

If you need to find somewhere to live while you’re at The Manchester College, please contact our guidance and welfare team.

Are you coming to Manchester from outside the UK?

If you're coming to Manchester from outside the UK, please contact the international office to find out if you may be classed as an 'international' student. The international office can arrange homestay accommodation for international students.

16-18 and coming to Manchester without a parent or guardian?

Are you 16-18 and coming to Manchester without your parent or guardian? There are rules we need to follow to keep you safe.

If you’re planning to come to Manchester by yourself, you’ll need to ask your parent or guardian to:

  • arrange suitable accommodation for you, before you arrive
  • make sure you will be kept safe and will be able to get the money you need.

We’ll usually ask your guardian to arrange for an adult to be responsible for you while you’re living in Manchester. This adult is known as a ‘nominated person’.

For more information, please contact the guidance and welfare team at gaws@themanchestercollege.ac.uk or call the college on 0161 203 2100 (option 2).

Are you homeless or about to be made homeless?

If you’re homeless or about to be made homeless, please contact the guidance and welfare team at your nearest campus or at gaws@themanchestercollege.ac.uk.
